Terms of use
These terms apply to the Roamspan iPhone app, to roamspan.app and to the guides published on it. By using the app or the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app or the website.
Who we are
Roamspan is operated by Gaizka Jimenez. Tax identification number (NIF): pending. Postal address: pending. You can contact us at hello@roamspan.app.
What Roamspan does
Roamspan is an iPhone planning tool for the Schengen short-stay 90/180 day count. The current version covers the Schengen area. You record trips with a country, an entry date and an exit date, and the app calculates the days used and the days remaining in the rolling 180-day window.
Roamspan is not legal advice, immigration advice, or permission to enter or stay in any country. Border authorities decide. The date written on your passport stamp is the date that counts. Short-stay visas, residence permits and some bilateral rules follow other limits, and the app may not cover them.
App Store and purchases
The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions and the standard end user licence agreement that Apple applies to apps. Apple handles purchases, billing, renewals and refunds, and shows the price that applies to your Apple ID.
Roamspan Pro is advertised on this website at €24.99 per year. The free version includes the 90/180 count, the live map and your trip history. Pro adds the planner, which checks whether a future trip fits, and PDF export. Prices and features can change; the price shown by Apple at the time of purchase is the one that applies.
Your trips and your data
No account is required. Trip dates, countries and notes are stored on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes the data stored on that device. Anonymous usage analytics may be collected as described in the privacy policy; once the app includes a consent prompt, those analytics are sent only with your consent. Purchases are handled by Apple.
The website and the guides
The guides on this website are general information. We check each rule against the official sources listed in the article and show the date it was checked. Rules can change with little warning, and a guide can become out of date. The guides are not legal advice, and you should confirm the current rule with the embassy or immigration authority before you travel.
The website also links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or their terms.
The launch list
If you enter your email on this website, we collect only that address, to tell you about the Roamspan launch and, if you stay subscribed, later news about the app. The legal basis is your consent. We use double opt-in: the address is added only after you confirm the email we send. Kit (ConvertKit) processes the address on our behalf. You can unsubscribe from any message or ask us to delete the address at any time by writing to hello@roamspan.app. The privacy policy explains this in more detail.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
You may use the app and the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, the website or their content except where the law allows it. The Roamspan name, logo, app and website content are owned by the operator or used with permission. You may quote short excerpts of a guide with attribution and a link to the page.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app and the website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may update these terms. When we update them, we change the date at the top. If you continue to use the app or the website after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you take on the basis of the app or the guides. The app is a planning aid; it does not replace the official count or the decision of a border officer.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you have the rights that the law of your country gives you. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. Purchases made through the App Store are also subject to Apple’s terms and to the consumer rules that apply to Apple’s service.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Bilbao (Bizkaia), without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights that allow you to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence.
